Title I is a federally funded part of our school that targets students who are non-proficient in reading and/or math.
Non-proficency is based on the following assessments:
Iowa Tests of Basic Skills (below 40%)
MAP tests (non-proficient in area)
F.A.S.T. tests (at-risk or persistently at risk)
*(These will be administered by Mrs. Ptacek to ALL students in grades PK-6 three times a year.)
Classroom performance on a variety of tasks
Parent communication and concerns
Title I students receive additional instruction in areas of need. Generally, classes are 30 minutes, 5 days a week for K-5 grades. We currently have 3 Title I teachers available to give support to our students.
